Soroush Sadeghnejad, chairman of the University Student Association, said these research-scientific competitions are held annually in one of the active countries in the field, with the presence of world's best robotic teams and under the supervision of the RoboCup World Federation.
The 21st round of competitions is being held in Japan, the center of robotics in the world, in various research and industrial fields so that different teams from around 50 countries can assess their achievements in a six-day competition, he added.
Hosted by Japanese city of Nagoya, the tournament will be held from July 25-30 with some 300 teams from Iran, Germany, the United States, Portugal, Austria, China, Brazil, the Netherlands, Turkey, Mexico, Japan, Canada, Singapore, Russia and Taiwan attending the event, Sadeghnejad noted.
